TENNISKHELO PLAYER PROFILE TRANSPARENCY POLICY

PLAYER PROFILE TRANSPARENCY POLICY

1. Purpose of Player Profiles

TennisKhelo is designed to support the growth of tennis and sports communities by creating a transparent, organised, and technology-driven ecosystem.

One of the core features of this ecosystem is the Player Profile, which helps maintain structured sports records for players participating in tournaments, leagues, academies, and community matches.

Player profiles help the sports community:

  • recognise player achievements
  • maintain accurate tournament records
  • help organisers verify participants
  • help academies track performance
  • help sponsors discover talented players

This approach follows the same transparency practices commonly used by sports organisations worldwide.

2. Who Can Have a Player Profile

A player profile may exist on TennisKhelo if the player has:

  • participated in tournaments managed through TennisKhelo
  • registered for events through the Platform
  • appeared in publicly available sports records
  • been listed by an academy or tournament organiser
  • created their own account on the Platform

Player profiles may represent players from all levels of sport including:

  • recreational players
  • society or club tournaments
  • corporate events
  • academy training programs
  • state or national tournaments
  • international competitions

3. Sources of Player Information

Player profile information may be sourced from a variety of publicly available or authorised sports records, including:

  • All India Tennis Association (AITA)
  • International Tennis Federation (ITF)
  • Asian Tennis Federation (ATF)
  • State or District Tennis Associations
  • Official tournament websites
  • sports academies or clubs
  • event organisers using TennisKhelo
  • information submitted directly by players or parents

TennisKhelo displays such information to maintain accurate sporting records.

TennisKhelo does not alter official rankings or federation records.

4. What Information May Be Visible on Player Profiles

A player profile may display sporting information such as:

  • player name
  • tournament participation history
  • match results
  • rankings or performance data
  • achievements or titles
  • state or region
  • profile photograph (if provided)

This information helps maintain transparency and integrity in sports competitions.

5. Information That Is Never Publicly Displayed

TennisKhelo takes strong measures to protect personal privacy.

The following information is never publicly displayed on player profiles:

  • date of birth
  • personal identification documents
  • Aadhaar number or other government ID
  • personal contact details (email or phone number)
  • residential address
  • identity verification documents

Such information is used only for internal verification where required.

6. Why Player Profiles Are Important for Sports

In competitive sports, maintaining accurate records is essential.

Player profiles help:

  • verify eligibility in tournaments
  • ensure fair competition in age categories
  • maintain accurate match history
  • support ranking and performance tracking
  • provide recognition to athletes

Without transparent player records, tournament integrity and fair competition become difficult to maintain.

7. Identity Verification for Profile Claims

To maintain accuracy and prevent impersonation, TennisKhelo may request identity verification when users claim or update player profiles.

Verification documents may include:

  • AITA player card
  • government identification (such as Aadhaar or passport)
  • federation membership proof
  • tournament registration confirmation

These documents are used only for verification purposes and are not publicly visible.

8. Claiming and Managing Your Profile

Players, or parents/guardians of junior players, may claim their profile on TennisKhelo.

Once verified, they may:

  • update profile information
  • upload a profile photograph
  • add achievements or career highlights
  • request corrections to inaccurate information

9. Junior Players and Parent Control

TennisKhelo recognises that many players are minors.

For players under the age of 18:

  • profiles are managed by parents or guardians
  • parents may update or correct information
  • parents may request removal of content where appropriate

Date of birth is used only for age-category verification and is not publicly visible.

10. Search Engine Visibility

Public player profiles may be indexed by search engines such as Google.

This helps:

  • increase visibility for athletes
  • help organisers discover players
  • support recognition of sports achievements

Players or parents who prefer that a profile should not appear in search engines may request removal from indexing.

11. Correction of Information

TennisKhelo strives to maintain accurate sports records.

If any information on a player profile is incorrect, users may request correction by contacting the TennisKhelo support team.

Verified corrections will be updated accordingly.

12. Profile Removal Requests

Players or parents may request removal of a player profile.

However, certain match records or tournament results may remain stored internally to maintain historical accuracy of sports events.

Deletion requests will be processed within 7–15 working days.

Where possible, the profile may be removed from public visibility.

13. TennisKhelo’s Commitment to Responsible Sports Data

TennisKhelo believes that responsible use of sports data is essential to building a strong sports ecosystem.

We commit to:

  • protecting personal privacy
  • maintaining accurate sporting records
  • supporting transparency in tournaments
