Tournament Format:

The 8th Balraj Gupta Memorial Seniors Tennis Tournament will follow a knockout format, ensuring high-stakes matches from the very first round. The tournament will take place on 22nd - 23rd February 2025 at Tejli Sports Complex, Yamuna Nagar, organized by the Jagadhri Yamunanagar Tennis Association (JYTA).

Event Categories:

  • - Men’s Doubles:

    • * Age categories: 75+, 90+, 105+, and 120+ (Combined Age).

    • * Minimum age: 35 years.

  • - Women’s Doubles:

    • * Age category: 30+

    • * Minimum age: 30 years.

Match Format & Rules:

  • - Each player can participate in any two events.

  • - First Round to Quarterfinals: Best of 11 games with 3-point deuce & 5/5 tie-break.

  • - Semifinals: Best of 13 games with 3-point deuce & 6/6 tie-break.

  • - Finals: Best of 15 games with 3-point deuce & 7/7 tie-break.

  • - Walkover Rule: If a player fails to report within 15 minutes, a walkover will be given to the opponent.

  • - Women’s Doubles: Will only take place if there are a minimum of 6 entries.

  • - Coach Pairing Rule: Two coaches cannot partner together. Also, a coach cannot pair with any Indian Top 10 ITF Player.

Entry Fees:

  • - Men’s Doubles: ₹4000 per pair

    • - Women’s Doubles: ₹3000 per pair

    • - Entries & Payment: Online registration only via www.jyta.in (No on-spot registration).

    • - Deadline: Last date for entries is 15th February 2025, 2:00 PM.

Prize Money & Awards:

  • - Men’s Doubles:

    • * Winner: ₹21,000 per pair

    • * Runner-up: ₹11,000 per pair

    • * Semi-finalists: ₹5,000 per pair

  • - Women’s Doubles:

    • * Winner: ₹11,000 per pair

    • * Runner-up: ₹7,500 per pair

    • * Semi-finalists: ₹3,000 per pair

  • Trophies & Welcome Kit: Winners and runners-up will receive a cash prize and a trophy. Players who submit entries before 15th February will receive a welcome kit.

Facilities Provided:

  • - Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and high tea on both days.

  • - Beverages: Water, lemonade, tea, coffee, and fruits for players.

  • - Gala Dinner: To celebrate sportsmanship on 22nd February (Saturday).

  • - Accommodation: Outstation players will receive accommodation for 22nd February only. All players must check out on 23rd February morning.

  • - Additional Night Stay (21st February): Available for players traveling more than 250 km.

  • - Match Officials: Ball boys & chair umpires on each court.
