CLTC INDIA Premier Tennis Leagues Season 3

The CLTC INDIA Premier Tennis Leagues Season 3 is going to be a rapid and exciting one-day tournament that will be staged at the facilities of CLTC INDIA in Panchkula, Haryana. This is an invitation to competitive teams of players above 25 years in this BYOT (Bring Your Own Team) Doubles to come forward and contest against the defending champions, Sólan, for the winner's trophy. The tournament promises a high standard of play and excellent facilities, making it one of the finest events in the region. This will be a competitive team doubles event following the BYOT format and is open to all players, whether professionally coached or not. The tournament consists of a Round Robin stage in two pools, after which the top two teams from each pool will enter the semi-finals. Matches will be played with high-quality AO tennis balls on four excellent synthetic courts equipped with floodlights.

Categories and Match Format

  • Tournament Format: BYOT (Bring Your Own Team) Team Doubles Event.

  • Total Teams: 8 teams - divided into 2 pools of 4 teams each.

  • Team Composition: Each team will have 6 players aged 25 years and above. An additional 7th player may be listed as an injury replacement.

  • ➣ The tournament will be organized as a Round Robin in the league stage, within the pools. The top two teams from each pool enter the semi-finals.

  • Match Scoring: Matches are 1-set-till-finals, and all games will be extended to 7 games.

  • Deuce Rule: A Deuce total of 3 points, wherein the third point after deuce is considered the final and decisive point.

  • Winning a Tie: In order to win the tie for a team, a team must win at least 2 matches out of 3 doubles matches.

Venue Facilities

  • Courts: 4 Synthetic Tennis Courts with excellent quality Flood Lights.

  • Refreshments: Quality Food includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, and refreshments throughout the tournament.

  • Other: Huge parking space, sitting arrangements below a shed, and hygienic washrooms.

Rules Regarding Player Unavailability & Disputes

  • Minimum Players:

    • If a team has only 5 present players, the opposing team gets to choose which player (from the 4 who played the first two matches) will partner the 5th player for the final (third) match.

    • If a team has only 4 present players, one match will be given a 'bye' if the team tie extends to the third match.

  • Injury Replacement:

    • The name of the 7th extra player must be given before the tournament starts.

    • If the extra player replaces an injured player, the injured player is then banned from playing any further matches in the tournament.

  • Final Decision: All disputes regarding rules or decisions made by the organizing committee are final.
