Jamna Tennis Cup 2024 Rules & Regulations

Format and Structure

This season has 2 types of events. Team events will follow the Round Robin Format features 16 teams divided into 4/5 groups and the Open tournament will follow Knockout pattern Open, Mixed Doubles, Women’s Doubles, Combined age 70+ (Minimum age: 35), Combined age 90+ (Minimum age: 40), Combined Age 110+ (Minimum age:50)

Team Structure:

Each team consists of 6 to 8 players

Group A: JSC OHANA, RTC TITANS, THE UNSTOPPABLES, RISING STAR

Group B: PG JOYGAON GIANTS, JTC CHAMPIONS, OTS TIGERS,SKIT ,RAS CLUB

Group C: ROYAL RAJASTHAN, BIKANER, TENNIS TERMINATORS, RAM BAGH GOLF CLUB (EAGLE), JAMNA TENNIS ACADEMY

Group D:  SHIVPURI FAMILY FOUNDATION TRUST, CHAMBAL SPORTS CLUB KOTA, VLTRC KARNATAKA, RAM BAGH GOLF CLUB (ALBTROS)

Match Rules

● Each team consisting of 6-8 Players

● All players must adhere to sportsmanship standards. Un sportsmanship behaviour, including verbal abuse or racket throwing, may lead to warnings, penalties or disqualification at the referee's discretion.

● All referee decisions will be the final and binding.

● The Team Winning Maximum Number of Games in Round Robin Stage of Their Group will be the First Best

● The Team Winning Second Maximum Number of Games in Round Robin Stage of Their Group will be the

Second Best Team In That Group

● Best 2 Teams from Each Group Will Proceed to Quarter Finals For Knockout Stage

● In Case of Tie Between 2 Teams, The Team which has beaten the other in Round Robin Stage will be the

Winner

Groups: 4 groups of 4-5 teams each.

Team Composition: Each team has 6-8 players:

League Format

Best of 11: Matches. Tiebreak at 5-5, played to 6 points.

3 matches will be played

●  Min age 35+ > combined 70

●  Min age 40+ > combined 90

●  Min age 50+ > combined 110

The top team who one most games will qualify from each group

Quarterfinals Format

From each group, the top 2 teams (who one most matches) will advance to the quarterfinals. The matchups will be Best of 13 Matches. Tiebreak at 6-6, played to 7 points.

Best of 5 matches will be done:

●  Min age 35+ > combined 70

●  Min age 40+ > combined 90

●  Min age 50+ > combined 110

●  Min age 35+ > combined 80

●  Min age 35+ > combined 100

●  In 5 matches unique pairs will be there

●  Each player will get to play 2 matches 1st from 1-3 category and 2nd from 4-5 matches

*In League (round robin format) there are 3 matches and in Knockout in 5 matches

Semifinals Format:

Best of 15: Matches. Tiebreak at 7-7, played to 8 points

Finals Format:

Best of 17: Matches. Tiebreak at 8-8, played to 9 points.
