The Journey of Jai Tennis Academy in Pondicherry: A Story of Passion, Dedication and Success

The journey for Jai Tennis Academy in Pondicherry began on July 15, 2013 when Vengatachalam. J,  began building a tennis court for his son. It was a small program at first, but over time he realized there was a great demand for tennis coaching in this area. Once he realized that, he took the next step and started giving classes to students nearby.

Early Days as a Coach 

In 2011, Vengatachalam. J  started taking evening classes at an academic school as a coach. It was during this time that he began to develop my skills as a coach and mentor. His students were of varying ages and skill levels, and he worked tirelessly to improve their games. As his reputation grew, so did the number of students who came to take classes under his guidance.

Tennis Tournaments and Accolades

His students and he himself has participated in many local and national competitions, and have been fortunate enough to win some amazing awards. In fact, we have won 30 national level and local level competitions in India. These successes not only boosted his students’ morale but also gave them the confidence to take on more challenging projects.

Growing Popularity

As our reputation grew, so did the number of students who came to practice on his tennis court. We played 50 community matches, and his court became a destination for local tennis enthusiasts. In 2016, He took the next step and established the Sri Auro jay Tennis Academy in Pondicherry, which is now affiliated with the Pondicherry Tennis Association.. 

A Unique Setup

What sets Jai Tennis Academy apart from other tennis courts in Pondicherry is that it is not affiliated with any school, college, government body, or organization. This independence has allowed us to focus on maintaining our unique identity, as well as providing high quality training for our students.

The Impact of COVID-19

Unfortunately, like many other businesses and organizations, JayTennis Academy has been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. They had to stop the whole operation, and their court was not used for months. However, they have slowly relaunched, with about 10-15 students starting to join them for classes.

The Future of Jai Tennis Academy

Despite the challenges of the epidemic, they remain committed to their mission of providing students with the best possible tennis coaching. They are constantly working to improve our facilities and services and ensure that their students receive the best possible training. Their aim is to become one of the top tennis academies in Pondicherry and they are confident that with hard work and dedication they can achieve this goal. This academy is also listed as a Top 10 Tennis Academies in Puducherry.
