Gymkhana Premier League Season 5 Day 2_ Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and the Grand Finale

Day 1 Highlights: Standout Young Performers

Day 1 of GPL Season 5 highlights the talent and the skills of the young players. The performance that everyone is still talking about belonged to Aryan Kaushik  and Rishabh Chopra. Before today, they was totally unknown. When they was playing for Ace Raptors, they was pitted against a living legend, Sahil Mittal and Deepak Sondhi. And what does he do? they gives a clinic. Aryan Kaushik  and Rishabh Chopra combined rallies with power with this uncharacteristically soft touch at the net and left the spectators awestruck.

No less remarkable was Rishabh Chopra‘s doubles action. Matched with his captain, he was terrific. Rishabh Chopra possessed a sixth sense for where the ball would end up, registering ace volleys and game-saving overhead smashers. They were an excellent partnership. Defeating a top-seeded duo demonstrates raw instinct and guts on occasion can beat experience. Both Aryan Kaushik  and Rishabh Chopra demonstrated every year there’s a young player who can make a name for themselves.

Turning Points – Matches That Defined the Momentum

GPL Season 5 match

Though the league is still in its infancy, a few of the matches on Day 1 did seem to be turning the entire match around. Such a match was Wolf Lobbers  vs. Advantage Tennis Squad . It was a cliff-hanger that continued till the very end. The last singles match was a rollercoaster ride of an edge-of-the-seat sort, decided in a third-set tie-break. After an eternity-long rally, Wolf Lobbers  aced a cross-court. The victory not only gave them the important point, but an enormous mental lift as well.

The Unsung Heroes: Mentors and Coaches

One of the most inspiring aspects of the Gymkhana Premier League is that many of the players competing here are not only athletes but also coaches who run their own academies. Off the court, they dedicate themselves to training young talent, passing on the same grit and discipline they display during matches.

This dual role adds more meaning to every point they play. When these players step onto the court, they’re setting an example for the students who look up to them. The GPL, in that sense, becomes more than a league; it turns into a living classroom where experience, mentorship, and passion all come together to shape the next wave of champions.

Quarterfinals: The Road to Glory

With the group stage over, pressure just increased considerably. Quarterfinal time—knockout stage where you pack up and go home after one loss. The best teams will battle it out for a spot in the semifinals, and these will be some grueling games.

The stage is set. Will the veterans hold on, or will the upstarts finish off their amazing streak to the championship? Stay tuned to TennisKhelo, the tennis tournament management app for live score updates and thrilling knockout stage action. Every moment of GPL Season 5 is just a click away.
