About the Founders — Jay Thakker, Ekta Thakker & Kanav Thakker

BioFrost was born from a deeply personal place — a place of pain, resilience, and an unshakeable belief that India deserved a better solution for natural muscle recovery and sports pain relief. The brand is the brainchild of three passionate, sports-loving co-founders — Jay Thakker, Ekta Thakker, and Kanav Thakker — fourth-generation members of a 75-year-old pharma family who dared to think differently about cold therapy and pain management in India.

Jay Thakker, an MBA graduate from S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, grew up battling multiple ligament injuries as a teenager. That lived experience of pain, slow recovery, and frustration with available solutions became the emotional core of BioFrost — the personal wound that turned into a powerful natural sports injury recovery brand in India.

Ekta Thakker, a Finance and Risk Management Graduate from Ohio State University, brought with her a lifelong love of sport — having played volleyball, hockey, and badminton at a competitive level. Her drive to revolutionise the way pain management is perceived in India gave BioFrost its fearless, consumer-first spirit that resonates deeply with active individuals across the country.

Kanav Thakker, a Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering graduate from UC Berkeley, brought the science to life. With extensive research experience in Polymer Science and Biotech, Kanav ensured that every BioFrost formulation was backed by cutting-edge sports recovery science — not just tradition or marketing.

Together, the three channelled their individual strengths — business strategy, financial acumen, and scientific expertise — into one powerful, purpose-driven product. A product that treats pain the way the body actually needs it in a hot country like India: with natural cold therapy, not heat. Today, BioFrost is helping create trusted Cold Therapy Products for Tennis Players, athletes, and active individuals across India.
