Welcome to the Professional Premier League Season 2! Following the success of our inaugural season, this year’s tournament promises to deliver even more thrilling matches, exceptional talent, and unforgettable moments.

• Format and Structure

  This season has 2 types of events. Team events will follow the Round Robin Format features 16 teams divided into 4 groups and the Open tournament will follow Knockout pattern Open, Mixed Doubles, Women’s Doubles, Combined age 80+ (Minimum age: 35), Combined age 100+ (Minimum age: 45), Combined Age 120+ (Minimum age:55)

• Group Breakdown

  • Paes & Bhupathi: Jaisalmer Giants, RJ 13 Kings, Thar Stars, Ace Miners
  • Bopanna & Mirza: Smashing Snipers, Malot Warriors, Davengers, Shastri Sharks
  • Somdev & Nagal: Gallium Gladiators, Net Ninjas, Topspin Titans, Pink Warriors
  • Krishnan & Amritraj: Mighty Mustangs, Court Commanders, Rajasthan Racketeers, TA Allstars

• Match Rules

  • Each team consisting 9 Players
  • All players must adhere to sportsmanship standards. Unsportsmanship behavior, including verbal abuse or racket throwing, may lead to warnings, penalties or disqualification at the referee's discretion.
  • All referee decisions will be the final and binding.

• Match Format

  Team Event (Round Robin)

  • Groups: 4 groups of 4 teams each.
  • Team Composition: Each team has 9 players:
  • A: 2, B: 2, C: 3, D: 2

  Playing Combinations

  • 1st Match: Combinations: AA, AB, BB
  • 2nd Match: Combinations: CC, CD, DD
  • 3rd Match: Combinations: AC, AD, BC, BD

  Note: Only 2 C players may play in one match.

  League Format

  • Best of 15: Matches. Tiebreak at 7-7, played to 8 points.

  Quarterfinals Format

  From each group, the top 1-2 teams will advance to the quarterfinals. The matchups will be Best of 17 Matches. Tiebreak at 8-8, played to 9 points.

• Open Event

  Categories

  • Open, Mixed Doubles, Women’s Doubles, Combined age 80+ (Minimum age: 35), Combined age 100+ (Minimum age: 45), Combined Age 120+ (Minimum age: 55)

  Format

  Tournament will follow Best of round of 32, Best of round of 16, or Quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals based on entries.

  Match Rules

  1. League Matches:
     • Best of 15
     • Tiebreak: At 7-7, played to 8 points.
  2. Quarter-Finals:
     • Best of 15
     • Tiebreak: At 7-7, played to 8 points.
  3. Semi-Finals:
     • Best of 15
     • Tiebreak: At 7-7, played to 8 points.
  4. Finals:
     • Best of 17
     • Tiebreak: At 8-8, played to 9 points.

• Key Dates

  Season 2 will kick off on 5th Dec, 2024 and run through to 8th Dec, 2024, with matches scheduled. Be sure to mark your calendars for the grand finale, where the top teams will clash for the championship title!

• Community and Engagement

  The Professional Premier League is not just about the matches; it’s a celebration of sportsmanship and community spirit. Fans can look forward to interactive events, fan engagement activities, and opportunities to meet their favorite players.

• Disputes

  In case of disputes, the decision of the organizing committee will be final and binding.

• Cleanliness Request
